I made this page this morning. I like how it turned out. When I bought this journal, I was attracted to it because of the handmade paper. However, it's not an easy paper to do your artwork on because it has a tendency to ball up. Otherwise, I love the look and feel of it.
I worked in my art journal for the first time today since last July. Here's one of two pages that I completed.
I drew the image and colored it in with paint pens and markers, then I scanned it and added a watercolor filter in Photoshop. I printed it on photo paper, then on acetate. I cut the background out from the photo paper and mounted it to the acetate. I cut out a square in the card, mounted the image, and added the patterned paper to the inside of the card. The inside sentiment is hidden behind the bird.
